Losing a loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences in life. The Denver Hospice Grief Center would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your loved one. Our Grief Center offers a full range of grief support services to help you process and explore your loss, including grief support groups, individual counseling, children and teen support and memorial services. We invite you to look over our offerings below and reach out to us with any questions you may have or to sign-up for services.

Individual Counseling - Adults

At times the grief process offers challenges that respond best to individual support. Our grief counselors are trained to understand what you’re going through and can help you focus on what matters most to you. All individual counseling is held at our administrative offices – 501 South Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246.

Family and Friends of The Denver Hospice Patients
Family and friends of patients served by The Denver Hospice are offered three (3) complementary counseling sessions. After three sessions are completed, grief counseling sessions are offered at a sliding scale fee of $35-$80 per session.

Community Members
Bereaved members of the community are offered grief counseling sessions at a sliding scale fee of $35-$80 per session.

Individual Counseling - Children & Teens

Our Footprints program offers help to children and teens, ages 3-17, and their families with anticipatory grief and after a loss of a loved one. We believe all children have the capacity to heal from within. Having a supportive person who knows how to listen deeply and speak a language children understand can help greatly. Our trained children’s grief counselors facilitate healing through art, movement and play—the ways children naturally express and process feelings. Parents and caregivers receive coaching around how to best support their child through the grief process. We feature a kid-friendly Footprints studio at our administrative offices – 501 South Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246.

Children of The Denver Hospice Patients
Unlimited free counseling sessions are available for anticipatory grief while their loved one is receiving care from The Denver Hospice; available at our Footprints studio or in the child’s home – wherever the family feels more comfortable.

After death, children of patients served by The Denver Hospice are offered six (6) complementary counseling sessions at our Footprints studio. After six sessions are completed, grief counseling is offered at a sliding scale fee of $35-$80 per session.

Community Members
Bereaved children of the community are offered grief counseling sessions at a sliding scale fee of $35-$80 per session.
