The Denver Hospice hosts support groups and events for our community.
Young(er) Adult Grief Group
This group is for people in their 20’s and 30’s who have lost a parent or sibling more than 3 months ago. We will offer a forum for participants to share the challenges they have encountered and the strategies they have developed as a young adult learning to live in a world without this important loved one. We will explore topics like coping with role changes, family re-structuring, changing identity, how to relate to others around us in both personal and work environments, and gathering support from people who “get it.” This group will be facilitated by a grief counselor from The Denver Hospice Grief Center, along with a volunteer or intern.
Schedule
This group will meet virtually from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m on the following Wednesdays:
January 20, 27 and February 3, 10, 17 and 24.
Registration and application is required.
