Celebrating Skilled Nursing Care Week Through Community and Connection

The Denver Hospice joined residents, families, caregivers, and community partners for a joyful tea party celebration honoring compassion, companionship, and person-centered care during Skilled Nursing Care Week

Skilled Nursing Care Week is a time to recognize the compassion, dedication, and community that make skilled nursing centers such important places of care and support. This year, The Denver Hospice was honored to help celebrate alongside residents, families, staff, and community partners at The Spearly Center’s “Sip, Savor, & Bloom” tea party event.

The celebration brought residents together for an afternoon filled with homemade baked treats, music, games, conversation, and raffle giveaways. The event created opportunities for connection and joy while honoring the residents and caregivers who make these communities feel like home.

The Denver Hospice joined other hospice organizations in supporting the event through donated raffle baskets and participation throughout the afternoon. Seeing community partners come together in support of residents and staff highlighted the shared commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.

Events like these are an important reminder that quality care goes beyond medical support. Meaningful moments of connection, celebration, and companionship can make a lasting impact for residents and families alike.

We are grateful to The Spearly Center for including us in this special Skilled Nursing Care Week celebration and for the opportunity to share in such a joyful afternoon with residents, staff, and fellow community partners.

At The Denver Hospice, we remain committed to supporting individuals and families wherever they call home and to building strong partnerships that enhance care throughout our community.
