Ways to Give
- Outright Gifts
- Tribute Gifts
- Honor Gifts
- Recognition Gifts
- Gifts of Stock or Real Estate
- Gifts from a Will or Endowment
- Physical Memorials
- Corporate Giving
- In-Kind Gifts
An outright gift is one of the most common and easy ways to make a donation to The Denver Hospice.
By giving a donation today, you will see the immediate results of your generosity. You are demonstrating care for our programs and the patients and families we serve.
Monthly giving is available for those who wish to make gifts throughout the year. These gifts make a large impact on our programs and can be set up with a credit card or electronic fund transfer.
One-time gifts can also be made by cash or check.
Tribute gifts honor the memory and celebrate the life of your loved one.
If you have lost a family member or friend, giving a tribute gift provides a lasting way to commemorate their life.
Tribute gifts of any size let us help you celebrate the life of a loved one while also providing support for others in our care.
When you set up your gift, you may include the name of the loved one you wish to celebrate, or give anonymously.
Your loved one’s name can be included in a physical memorial. More information on this option is below under “Ways to Give.”
An honor gift allows you to celebrate a friend, family member or business associate out of appreciation or memory. Honor gifts start at $5,000 and each individual or group honored will be presented with a unique gift from The Denver Hospice.
Unlike recognition or memorial gifts, honor gifts do not have to be attached to a single person. Honor gifts are often made to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion.
Your honor gift can be included in a physical memorial, and you can indicate the occasion for your gift when you set up your online or check donation. More information on this option is below under “Ways to Give.”
Recognition gifts are donations made to honor a caregiver, nurse, volunteer or another staff member for their service.
Recognition gifts provide a tangible way to acknowledge exceptional care provided by an individual hospice or palliative care employee, an entire care team, or one of our amazing volunteers.
A recognition gift is a meaningful way to show your appreciation while sustaining hospice care in our community so others may be helped in the future.
Gifts recognizing exceptional care are important to our staff. When our staff and clinical teams receive positive recognition from those we serve, it lifts our spirits and contributes to our mental well-being.
Gifts of Stock or Real Estate
A charitable donation of real estate or property may include your personal residence, a vacation home, a farm, commercial real estate or vacant land.
Gifts of real estate, valued at the current market value of the property, typically qualify for an immediate tax deduction.
Gifts of appreciated stock, mutual funds or other securities can help you avoid capital gains taxes while providing important support for The Denver Hospice.
Gifts from a Will or Endowment
A planned gift or bequest gives vital support to The Denver Hospice and can bring a variety of financial rewards to you and your family. Whether you’re thinking about giving through your will, or setting up a charitable gift annuity or trust, our gift planning staff can help you make just the right choice.
You can name The Denver Hospice as a sole or partial beneficiary on your life insurance policy. You may also donate a policy you no longer need.
Money from IRA, checking, savings or certificates of deposit can be made payable to The Denver Hospice upon your death.
